About me
Shyanne Chan has been involved with FIRST since 2009 as a student, mentor, and volunteer. She currently serves as the Senior Judge Advisor for FIRST Chesapeake. She is passionate about helping students find their voices and creating a judging experience that is fair, consistent, and grounded in the standards established by FIRST. Through mentoring and volunteer leadership, she strives to ensure every student feels heard, every team is evaluated equitably, and every participant leaves inspired to return—not just because of the robots they built, but because of the experience they had and the people they became. She believes FIRST is about more than building robots—it's about building students.
