About me
Perry Shank is the Chief Learning Officer at CodeVA, Inc., where he leads work in computer science education, curriculum design, educator learning, AI education, and K–12 systems change. His background includes experience as an elementary teacher, art and music teacher, and K–12 district leader, giving him a broad view of how students and teachers engage with complex learning across grade levels.Perry’s work focuses on making computer science and coding more accessible through curriculum, instructional design, and process-oriented learning frameworks. He is especially interested in helping educators and students talk about code, robotics, problem-solving, and computational thinking in ways that build confidence, deepen understanding, and make learning visible.
