Intro Workshop to FRC's most dreaded robot components: bumpers
Sunday August 9, 2026 11:00am - 12:30pm EDT
Join Vector Space FRC team leaders Adam and Elise Spontarelli for a hands-on building session. Adam and Elise run a community makerspace, where teaching hands-on skills is at the heart of their mission. In this session we're tackling one of FRC's most dreaded robot components: bumpers. We will walk you through intentional bumper design, material choice, best practices for fabrication, and the ethos around creating high quality robot parts. Participants will work in pairs to create a corner bumper section, learning skills that they can take home to their team.
